A weekend spent in Nor. Cal.
What a weekend! I had to shoot Lee and Mike’s wedding this past weekend at the beautiful Elliston Vineyard in Sunol, Ca. So I decided to drive up early and meet up with some friends.
I drove 6 hours straight and met up with some amazing people like Jen Skog, Wei Quek, Diane Quek, Albert Lau, and of course Jen’s hubby Scott. I loved every minute spent with them. I miss hanging out photographers from all over. I miss you guys!!! We went to Maria Maria for dinner in Walnut Creek, had an awesome time talking about photography and such while a crazy 4 point earth quake hit us. Both Jen and I were ready to get up and jet. Poor Diane was shocked because it was her first earth quake ever! Scott and Albert were still eating their dinner non chalantly as if nothing happened. Hahaha, I don’t know what Wei was doing, he was probably so drunk that he didn’t even feel a thing. jk. Too bad I forgot to take a group photo.
After dinner at Jen’s, I drove all the way down to my friend Sharon’s place to spend the night. Stinkin’ cops gave me a ticket on my way down.
After he found out that I’m from down south, he said, well, you can come to court to fight the ticket. I was like….uh…you want me to drive all the way up here again to fight a ticket that will probably be the same amount as my gas money just to drive up??? What the heck?!Anyway, then it was Lee & Mike’s wedding the next day. Lee was the most chilled bride ever! She wasn’t nervous at all, just going about getting ready, all calm and stuff. It was so awesome! It was kind of an emotional day for me. I never knew Mike was such a sentimental guy. It was so cute the way he cried when he saw Lee come out. Then I went to their after party after a long day, hung out with Anandit and Albert at the party. Then I was stranded in Anandit and Albert’s hotel room because my friend Sharon was clubbing away and I couldn’t go home until 2am! Hahaha, so sad. Sorry for ruining any potential fun times you could have had that night.

Sunday, I hung out with Junshien and his housemate Nate, crashed Junshien’s friend Kevin’s birthday party. What was cool about it is that I bumped into Joe (a couple I shot with Junshien 2 weeks ago) at the party. I got to talk to him more and he told us funny stories about him and Kim. It was some fun times.
Monday, I visited Sharon at her school. I really liked her classroom. It was so cute to see her sitting at her teacher’s desk preparing for the next period. I still remember when she was trying to decide what she wants to do as her career. We have all came such a long way….
(Taken with my cell phone in front of her “express yourself” wall at the back of her classroom)In the end, I’m just glad I’m back home.
