There’s something about this dancing shot that I really love.

I saw these stairs and just had to take some photos here.

Just having some fun with the lighting

Thank you guys for sharing your beautiful day with me. I was greatly blessed to have been part of it. Your young love is so refreshing to me and reminded me so much of God’s promise in my own life. Thank you for being such amazing and wonderful people. I am blessed to have known you.
I remember waking up the morning of Melissa and Eric’s wedding, and
I was exhausted because I had just shot a wedding the night before in
SD. But little did I know that I would be stepping into a day of
blessing with their wedding. I can’t tell you how blessed I felt when
I was shooting their wedding. God just totally met me there. I walked
away feeling so loved.
Here’s a little teaser from the day:

I love this collage, so full of energy!

I love this photo…not sure why.

I love how they’re just hugging each other while others are dancing away.
So I’ll be participating in the Oasis AquaRun at the end of this month. Oasis USA
is a non profit organization that works towards ending human
trafficking. The Slave Trade, Human Trafficking, this is the fastest
growing global crime. Trafficking is one form of modern day slavery
where men, women and children are taken by deception or violence from
their homes for exploitation and being forced into labor and
prostitution. Thousands of women, children and men are being bought
and sold each day! Oasis is making a difference with the Stop the Traffik campaign.
Our cry is to:
Prevent The Sale Of People
Prosecute The Traffickers
Protect The Victims
On
September 27th, 2008 at La Mirada Regional Park. My friend Beverly
Encina and I will be teaming up, swimming 1/2 mile (me) and running 3
miles (Beverly) with the aim of raising $20,000 for Oasis USA’s work to fight against Human
Trafficking. We want you to join us by donating towards this cause to
end modern day slavery. If you are interested in sponsoring me and
Beverly, please send your donation to:
Oasis USA

Or you can always donate online at www.oasisusa.org.
Since all donations made to Oasis USA are tax deductible. Please
email me your contact information (name and mailing address) and your
donation amount so I can collect a list of donors and give to Oasis USA
at the end of AquaRun.
In ending, I just want to thank you guys for taking the time to
read and understand this terrible thing that’s going on in the world.
I greatly appreciate your support and sponsorship in this. I know that
thousands of women, children and men, whose lives will be forever
changed by this will thank you for your support as well. I look
forward to hearing from you guys.
So after watching the Olympics, I was super inspired by all the swimmers there this year. Yes, I know, everyone’s in love with Michael Phelps.
But I’m not a teenie bopper who’s inspired cuz Michael Phelps is so hot and great at swimming. But I was inspired by him because he made a name for the swimming sport. The sport in US is not as hot as basketball, football or baseball. People don’t pay much attention to it, but this is the sport that I grew up with. I used to get up at 6am and swim for an hour before breakfast when I was in first & second grade. I used to do a hundreds laps in an Olympic size pool. I think my dad had thought about making me a professional swimmer before….but I don’t know why he never followed through on that one in terms of finding me a coach at that young age. For myself, I don’t think I knew you can swim competitively or professionally, so I never pushed him to find me a coach either.
But after learning that Dara Torres was swimming competitively this year in her 40s, I was even more inspired! I didn’t know you can compete in the Olympics at that age!!! It totally made me want to do it too!
What’s even more awesome is that she’s a mom! To place second in the Olympics this year, in her 40s, have a kid! Wow…..I mean, that’s seriously awesome!
So here’s my little dream…I really want to compete in the Olympics too. After I found out that the Olympics isn’t just for young teenagers and people in their early 20s…I really want to try out for it now. Of course I don’t know how realistic this dream is. But it’s there…I wonder if that’s possible at my age?
Wouldn’t it be cool if I was that person in that middle lane in the photo??? It’d be so awesome.
What a weekend! I had to shoot Lee and Mike’s wedding this past weekend at the beautiful Elliston Vineyard in Sunol, Ca. So I decided to drive up early and meet up with some friends.
I drove 6 hours straight and met up with some amazing people like Jen Skog, Wei Quek, Diane Quek, Albert Lau, and of course Jen’s hubby Scott. I loved every minute spent with them. I miss hanging out photographers from all over. I miss you guys!!! We went to Maria Maria for dinner in Walnut Creek, had an awesome time talking about photography and such while a crazy 4 point earth quake hit us. Both Jen and I were ready to get up and jet. Poor Diane was shocked because it was her first earth quake ever! Scott and Albert were still eating their dinner non chalantly as if nothing happened. Hahaha, I don’t know what Wei was doing, he was probably so drunk that he didn’t even feel a thing. jk. Too bad I forgot to take a group photo.
After dinner at Jen’s, I drove all the way down to my friend Sharon’s place to spend the night. Stinkin’ cops gave me a ticket on my way down.
After he found out that I’m from down south, he said, well, you can come to court to fight the ticket. I was like….uh…you want me to drive all the way up here again to fight a ticket that will probably be the same amount as my gas money just to drive up??? What the heck?!
Anyway, then it was Lee & Mike’s wedding the next day. Lee was the most chilled bride ever! She wasn’t nervous at all, just going about getting ready, all calm and stuff. It was so awesome! It was kind of an emotional day for me. I never knew Mike was such a sentimental guy. It was so cute the way he cried when he saw Lee come out. Then I went to their after party after a long day, hung out with Anandit and Albert at the party. Then I was stranded in Anandit and Albert’s hotel room because my friend Sharon was clubbing away and I couldn’t go home until 2am! Hahaha, so sad. Sorry for ruining any potential fun times you could have had that night.
Sunday, I hung out with Junshien and his housemate Nate, crashed Junshien’s friend Kevin’s birthday party. What was cool about it is that I bumped into Joe (a couple I shot with Junshien 2 weeks ago) at the party. I got to talk to him more and he told us funny stories about him and Kim. It was some fun times.
Monday, I visited Sharon at her school. I really liked her classroom. It was so cute to see her sitting at her teacher’s desk preparing for the next period. I still remember when she was trying to decide what she wants to do as her career. We have all came such a long way….
(Taken with my cell phone in front of her “express yourself” wall at the back of her classroom)
In the end, I’m just glad I’m back home.
Thank you guys for sharing your beautiful day with me. I felt so blessed spending that day with you guys.
I don’t know why I can’t get rid of this stupid underline thing right now….
Anyway, I’ve never been able to put together a slide show on the wedding day. But I somehow pulled it off at Sarah & Eddie’s wedding reception. These are the photos that I got to edit and showed at the end of their reception. Enjoy!
(This is my personal favorite)

So a few months ago I shot a fashion show with the San Diego Rescue Missions. Just a few days ago, they forwarded me an electronic copy of their magazine with all my photos from that show! I felt so honored that they picked all my photos out of all the photographers who were there shooting.
Here’s what the page looked like:
I’ll be posting more photos from this show at a later time. Stay in tune!
