Oh my gosh! You seriously won’t believe this. I had the most outrageous eSession ever! It’s actually quite hilarious and just a great story that I can tell now that it’s over.
The day started with my wonderful clients’ car breaking down right when we met up. So they had to call the towing company to tow the poor baby. Because of this delay, we had to change our shooting location.
So we thought fast and decided to go to the Queen Mary in Long Beach.
We drove there and found out that it’s way too expensive to shoot there because we had to buy tickets to get in. So forget that…we saw all these cargo by the port, so we thought it’d be a great idea to shoot there. So head on over there and started shooting. 2 hours into the shoot, this security guy walked in and asked us if we had permission to shoot here. We said no, we didn’t know we needed permission. And it’s not just the security guy okay…he brought cops with him. I mean cops with guns!!! They asked for our ID and took our picture with their cell phones. The cop was totally yelling at us and calling me stupid. Cops are mean. Boo them! Of course we apologized profusely and said we didn’t know. But he said that he has to talk to the police office or something like that. So he goes and comes back and said that he shouldn’t have called us stupid. At least he apologized. Then he goes on telling us that if we had done the shoot at night, then we would have been hand cuffed and arrested right away…He eventually let us go.
Then we decided to go back to Fullerton to finish the rest of the shoot. Just to add on to the day, my clients cell phones died on the way there, so I couldn’t contact them to meet up. I finally got through to them after they stopped to get a cell phone charger, which delayed our shoot again. I told them to meet me at Starbucks at a particular intersection, they said okay. I waited, they called to tell me that they’re at Starbucks, but they don’t see me. Of course, as if our day isn’t filled with obstacles yet….they for whatever reason went to the wrong Starbucks. Sigh…at this point, I’m just busting up inside, seriously what else could go wrong?!
We finally meet up and my clients tell me that their car tire is totally cracking! He was not joking. Not only it’s cracking, it’s actually missing a big chunk of rubber!!! That tire can explode anytime! Man….
So we finally started to shoot again, but somehow my off camera flash wouldn’t work correctly! Oh my gosh, seriously, this is just way too much! Hahaha. Man, talk about a difficult eSession. Things seriously was not going smoothly at all!!! Then we finally finish shooting, as we were wrapping up, Erik, my client spilled his drink all over his base guitar case…hahaha. Yes, we had to end the day with something right?! Or else it wouldn’t be a perfectly disastrous day!
Oh boy….I’m just glad the day is over…
